Set in a wooded valley of the Côtes-d'Armor, the ruins of the château de la Hunaudaye still raise their round towers and medieval walls at the edge of the forest that bears its name. Built in the early 13th century by the Tournemine lords and later reworked during the Renaissance, the stronghold went through the Breton War of Succession before being rebuilt several times. Visitors today find a ruined yet readable complex, with moats, curtain walls and traces of a Renaissance staircase.
