What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit entre 1672 et 1684, sur les plans de l'architecte Barthélémy Le Blanc. Château occupé par la famille de Blacas du 19e siècle jusqu'en 1987, date à laquelle le jardin à la française est transformé en parc à l'anglaise. Château abandonné au 20e siècle (dépeçage des boiseries, occupation allemande, ...). En restauration depuis 1987, les douves (comblées au 18e siècle) ont été restituées, le parc a été reconstitué dans son état 17e siècle. Deux pièces ont conservé leur décor de panneaux peints du 17e siècle (chambre du Roi et cabinet des Métamorphoses).
