Château de Marcilly-la-Gueurce stands in Marcilly-la-Gueurce (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Marcilly-la-Gueurce, in the Saône-et-Loire department, stands a former fortified house that became over the centuries a family residence, still occupied today by the descendants of its eighteenth-century owners. The building combines a rectangular pavilion flanked by a roofless round tower with a sixteenth-century wing carried by a stone balcony resting on arcades. Notable features include a round tower that has regained its conical roof and a square tower containing a spiral staircase, both testifying to the many alterations made since the twelfth century.
