What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château de Lesquiffiou a été construit au 17e siècle, probablement sur l'emplacement d'un manoir plus ancien dont subsiste le pigoennier du 16e siècle. Le corps central rectangulaire, daté de 1698, a été flanqué dans la première moitié du 18e siècle de deux pavillons carrés prolongés vers l'est par deux ailes en retour d'équerre. Ces deux ailes ont été détruites entre 1890 et 1897, et la largeur du corps central a été doublée par la création d'une nouvelle façade d'inspiration Louis XV. Outre le château et le pigeonnier, le domaine comprend une ferme, construite de 1861 à 1863 par le marquis de Lescoët pour faire une ferme modèle pour une école d'agriculture. La guerre de 1870 a fait avorter le projet.
