What the French Ministry of Culture records

La Louère était un fief relevant du château de Bagneux. Du château fortifié du 15e siècle, dont la plus grande partie a été remplacée par une construction moderne, subsistent quelques éléments. Au nord-est, un donjon carré a conservé son chemin de ronde et ses mâchicoulis. Au nord-ouest, une tour rectangulaire, dont le couronnement a été refait, contient la chapelle moderne. Au sud-ouest, une tour cylindrique défendait l'angle correspondant de l'enceinte. Les douves et les courtines reliant des ouvrages ont disparu.
