Le château de La Haye est un bel ensemble de bâtiments du 17e siècle, avec quelques éléments plus anciens, disposés autour d'une cour carrée entourée de douves. Il a été reconstruit, entre 1600 et 1620, sur l'emplacement de l'ancien château des 13e et 14e siècles, dont il a conservé certains éléments, comme la tour ronde et le portail (déplacé). L'ensemble est cependant inachevé : le château devait être beaucoup plus important et plus fortifié, mais le décès du constructeur Henri de la Haye Saint-Hilaire, en 1622, a interrompu les travaux. Le château est le berceau de la famille de la Haye-Saint-Hilaire, qui occupe le lieu depuis le 11e siècle (avec filiation certaine et directe depuis le 14e siècle).
