Built before the mid-16th century, the château de la Grande Jaille underwent substantial remodeling between 1617 and 1627. The main dwelling, of trapezoidal plan, stands at the rear of a court of honor, flanked by four corner turrets and an entrance pavilion faced in ashlar and roofed in slate. An adjacent pavilion, presumed to be a former chapel, remains visible today.
