Une construction moderne a remplacé, vers 1860, l'ancienne forteresse féodale. L'ancienne construction subit des attaques catholiques et protestantes au cours des guerres de Religion. Le château présente une enceinte flanquée de grosses tours rondes, terminées par des corbeaux et surmontées de toitures coniques. La porte d'entrée fortifiée (15e siècle), en plein cintre, est surmontée d'un petit corps de bâtiment en encorbellement, flanqué de tours rondes.
