The Château de la Faye stands in ruins near Olmet, in the Puy-de-Dôme department, overlooking the valley of the Faye Giroux stream from which it takes its name. Built at the start of the 13th century to watch over this passage, it was extended over the centuries and still bears two corner towers raised by successive owners. Restoration work has been carried out by the current owners since the early 2000s. The site is notable as a medieval ruin shaped by a long line of family ownership.
