Château de la Dame Blanche stands in Le Taillan-Médoc (Gironde), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The Château de la Dame Blanche takes its name from a medieval legend: Blanca, daughter of a Moorish chief, is said to have chosen this land following the Battle of Poitiers and established a fortress documented from the 12th century onward. The building visible today dates from the 18th century. Rectangular in plan with a secondary wing, it rises over a ground floor and single story. The west facade features a central entrance set forward and crowned by a triangular pediment with sculptural motifs, while the east facade displays a rounded projection at its center. Two structures complete the ensemble: a 17th-century wine building with rounded arcading and a retable in stone and marble from a demolished Bordeaux church, positioned at the end of a garden alley.
