Set in the centre of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, facing the place de la République, the château du Bourdieu stands within a park of around thirty hectares. Built in 1788 by J. Delmestre on a former wine estate, its main house flanked by two low side pavilions shows a façade of rusticated stonework and arched openings, visible from the grounds. Held for generations by the Delmestre and then Meyniac families, the estate now belongs to Bordeaux Métropole.
