To make a day of it

Château de Juyers stands in Champagne-Mouton (Charente), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Juyers stands a kilometre from the village of Champagne-Mouton, in the Charente region, on the banks of the Argent stream. The main building and pavilion seen today date from the 17th century, built by Charles de Goret, though the original plan was never finished: a second half of the main house and a matching pavilion were never constructed. Two low ruined towers near the stream recall an earlier castle, likely from the 15th century. Notable features include the covered basket-arch passage leading to the entrance and the corner turrets of the pyramid-roofed pavilion.
