To make a day of it

Château de Juaye stands in Juaye-Mondaye (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 18th century, fourth quarter of the 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The château de Juaye stands at Saint-André, a hamlet of Juaye-Mondaye in the Calvados department, along the D67 departmental road. Construction began around 1740 for Charles-Louis Le Chanoine du Manoir, lord of the estate, and was completed by his successor Jean-Louis, with the park laid out a generation later. Its façades, balustraded perrons, staircase and two of its salons reflect an 18th-century design, with the founding family's arms displayed on the pediment.
