Château de Grandchamp-le-château stands in Mézidon Vallée d'Auge (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Mézidon Vallée d'Auge, the château de Grandchamp brings together two distinct periods: a timber-framed pavilion from the 15th and 16th centuries, its brick-nogging arranged in varied patterns, and a classical brick-and-stone wing added in the 18th century. Inside, a fireplace painted around 1600 for Nicolas Le Prévost, then lord of the estate, has survived. The property passed through the Le Prévost, Montault and Lebourgeois families before being listed as a historic monument.
