Château de Costeraste stands in Gourdon (Lot), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
In the commune of Gourdon, in the Lot department, the château de Costeraste stands on a site chosen in 1218 to watch over the Céou valley and the roads leading to Rocamadour. Founded by the Ebrard family in the aftermath of the Albigensian Crusade, it served as a defensive stronghold before enduring the turmoil of the Hundred Years' War, then passing through several families until the French Revolution. Divided and altered over the centuries, it owes its survival to the Boudet family, who restored it from the mid-20th century onward. Its stones bear witness to eight centuries of local history, from feudal conflicts to medieval pilgrimages.
