The château de Châtillon stands on a rocky spur above the village of Val-et-Châtillon in Meurthe-et-Moselle. A fortress is first recorded here in the 14th century, but the structure was dismantled in the 17th century before being rebuilt, then thoroughly reworked at the end of the 19th century. Two distinct groups of buildings remain today, the main residence to the west and the former farm buildings to the east, both set on the same rocky outcrop.
