Château de Charencey stands in Chenecey-Buillon (Doubs), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a rocky spur more than a hundred and twenty metres above the Loue river, the ruins of Charencey castle spread over several hectares at Chenecey-Buillon in the Doubs. Built in the Middle Ages and reinforced in the early 15th century to withstand firearms, the site retains three successive defensive lines and numerous gun ports, an early example of bastioned fortification in Franche-Comté. Traces of two towers, a curtain wall and a vaulted passage leading to the parade ground can still be made out.
