What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château est construit par l’architecte italien Michel Dal Gabbio en 1779 dans un style néo-classique d’après la commande de Jacques-Marie Punctis de la Tour. Les travaux sont achevés en 1786 et sera le dernier construit dans le département de la Loire sous l’Ancien Régime. Le château reste pendant trois générations dans la même famille jusqu’à son rachat en 1934 par la municipalité de Boël sur Lignon.
