Perched at 927 metres on a volcanic rock outcrop, the château des Cornes d'Urfé overlooks the valley above Champoly. Built in stages between the 12th and 16th centuries, it was the seat of the lords of Urfé before being plundered and abandoned after the French Revolution. Visitors can see a trapezoidal enclosure marked by four towers, including the Grand-Tour rising over 14 metres, as well as the remains of kitchens and a cistern uncovered in the courtyard.
