Château de Bressieux stands in Bressieux (Isère), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, 15th century, 16th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Perched on a spur of the Chambaran foothills, the ruins of Bressieux castle overlook the Bièvre plain from a keep that still rises 23 metres high. Built of pink brick in the 13th century on an older fortified site, the structure retains its twin round gate towers, a deep dry moat and the remains of a lord's residence. Left in ruined state, the site can be explored freely and offers wide views over the surrounding countryside from the top of the keep.
