Château de Crémieu stands in Crémieu (Isère), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century, 13th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
On the Saint-Laurent hill overlooking Crémieu stand the ruins of a fortified castle dating from the 12th century, later rebuilt from 1282 onward by the barons of La Tour, dauphins of Viennois. A round tower topped with merlons, sections of wall on the south and west sides, and an adjoining chapel with its wall-belfry are what remain of the structure. As the site is privately owned, the interior cannot be visited, but a balcony-like viewpoint gives a view over the medieval town and the neighbouring hill of Saint-Hippolyte.
