What the French Ministry of Culture records
Château mentionné dès 1345, décrit en 1687 comme comprenant une salle basse, une chapelle, une grande cuisine, une cave voûtée, un four et ses appartenances. En 1722, l'édifice est en mauvais état, et la construction d'un nouveau château est entreprise de 1740 à 1773. Les fondations du nouveau château étant mauuvaises, ce dernier est détruit en 1780. Le lieu, abandonné, sert de ferme. Après 1861, restauration et reconstruction partielle de l'ancien château médiéval. La chapelle près du château date de 1610, et servit de sépulture aux seigneurs de Dizimieu.
