To make a day of it

Château de Bocsozel stands in Mottier (Isère), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a hill above the Liers plain, the ruins of Bocsozel castle mark the site of an early medieval stronghold first recorded at the start of the 11th century. Two towers and fragments of a curtain wall remain from this fortified house, the round tower being the best preserved part of the ensemble. Labelled as Patrimoine en Isère, the site is reached on foot from the village of Mottier and offers a wide view over the surrounding countryside.
