Its cubic form topped by a four-sided roof reflects the regional architecture of the Dauphiné, and inside, an upper-floor room retains a painted ceiling decorated with foliage, palmettes and shells. The estate once belonged to the Vachon de Belmont family, who produced several magistrates of the Parlement du Dauphiné and a clergyman who helped found the Sulpician seminary in Montreal.
