Château de Bitaubé stands in Rébénacq (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château de Bitaubé doit son nom à une famille béarnaise, originaire de Gan, dont l'un des membres, Jean-Baptiste, expatrié comme beaucoup de cadets, revint d'Espagne en 1775, fortune faite, pour s'établir au pays. Ce personnage ayant fait construire l'édifice dès son retour, les travaux ont dû se dérouler vers 1775-1780. Les descendants de Jean-Baptiste en furent propriétaires juqu'en 1875. Le château, juché sur un épaulement dominant le bourg de Rébénacq, est bien représentatif de ces grosses demeures béarnaises, très sobres extérieurement, mais non dépourvues d'un souci de qualité au niveau du décor extérieur. Le corps de logis encadré de pavillons comporte quatre niveaux : soubassement, rez-de-chaussée, premier étage, étage de comble. L'essentiel du décor conservé se retrouve au rez-de-chaussée : salon et salles-à-manger, avec lambris, stucs, cheminées, fontaine. Le décor des autres pièces, de même qu'aux étages, concerne essentiellement les cheminées. A noter, également, la rampe d'escalier. Deux anciennes écuries encadrent la façade ouest et délimitent une cour, prolongée par un ancien jardin d'agrément clos de murs. L'escalier d'accès au jardin est orné d'une clef de voûte de provenance inconnue. La façade est est bordée d'une grande terrasse dominant l'emplacement d'un second jardin d'agrément probablement plus récent.
