To make a day of it

Château d'Ingwiller stands in Ingwiller (Bas-Rhin), in the Grand Est region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The castle of Ingwiller no longer stands today: of this residential tower built around the late 14th century, only a vaulted cellar and the remains of a round tower survive, adjoining the town's synagogue erected in the 19th century on the same site. Once home to the lords of Lichtenberg and later the counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg, it was altered several times before being damaged during the Thirty Years' War. This site will appeal mainly to those interested in Alsatian history rather than in an existing monument.
