Château d'Harcourt stands in Thury-Harcourt-le-Hom (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first quarter of the 17th century, first quarter of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
On the banks of the Orne, in Thury-Harcourt-le-Hom, the ruins of the Château d'Harcourt recall a residence built from 1635 and later enlarged during the following century by the dukes of Harcourt. Burned down by retreating German forces in 1944, the building was never rebuilt, apart from its chapel. Visitors today find an open-air main façade and a courtyard of honour flanked by dry moats and reached by a fixed bridge between two pavilions.
