To make a day of it

Château d'Épinac stands in Épinac (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing at the edge of the plateau above the village of Épinac, overlooking the Drée valley, this castle retains two wings and two towers from the building Nicolas Rolin had rebuilt in the fifteenth century. The most striking features are the four storey square tower at the north west corner and the turret marking the angle between the two wings. The moats are gone, but part of the polygonal perimeter wall still stands beyond the terraces and gardens.
