Château de Couches stands in Couches (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Middle Ages). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Overlooking the Creuse valley below the town of Couches, this medieval castle combines a 12th century tower, a flamboyant Gothic chapel from the 15th century and a 19th century neo-Gothic residential wing. The complex, still bordered by low ruined walls, recalls its defensive role on the route linking Paris to Chalon via Autun. An unverified tradition links the site to Marguerite of Burgundy, whose name is sometimes attached to it. The estate includes vineyards producing a Bourgogne côte-du-couchois wine.
