The château de Melin stands in the hamlet of the same name, in the commune of Auxey-Duresses, amid the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. Built in 1551 by the Rozereau family, it was enlarged and remodelled in the 18th century by the Brunet de Monthelie family, who gave it its present appearance with towers topped by tall slate roofs. The estate is now a family-run wine property operating as a guesthouse, and it is not open for visits as a heritage site.
