The château de Quincey stands at the end of a long tree-lined drive, surrounded by moats on several sides at the eastern edge of the village. The present building, largely rebuilt after a fire in the early eighteenth century, keeps the layout of an older fortified château without its defences: no towers, battlements or drawbridge remain. A plaque in the chapel recalls the 1658 visit of Louis XIV and Anne of Austria, when the king presided over a session of the Burgundy parliament there. Around the main courtyard stand a square dovecote and a gatehouse, set in a park once laid out by Le Nôtre and later reshaped in the English style.
