What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château reconstruit vers 1830. De l'ancien édifice ne restent plus que la tour et la porte du 14e siècle. Large façade à un étage surplombant deux terrasses à flanc de colline. Ce bâtiment se poursuit en arrière plan par deux ailes symétriques délimitant une cour, elles-mêmes prolongées par deux bâtiments servant d'orangerie et de garage. La cour est fermée par une grille en fer forgé. A l'entrée du château et accolé à d'anciennes écuries, se trouve le donjon du 14e siècle surplombant une poterne. A l'est, prend appui un autre bâtiment qui abrita peut-être la chapelle castrale d'origine. A la base de cet édifice, se trouve un mur ancien et très épais, faisant partie de l'ancien système défensif. Il fut remanié au goût du jour à l'occasion de la reconstruction du château.
