La seigneurie remonte au 12e siècle. Le château actuel a été construit dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle et s'élève un peu au-dessous de l'ancien édifice complètement rasé. Le bâtiment rectangulaire prend assise sur de vastes caves voûtées. A l'intérieur, grand hall dont le plafond repose sur des colonnes cannelées à chapiteaux doriques. Salle à manger où alternent fontaines aux larges vasques et des crédences surmontées de glaces. Grand salon de réception en rotonde ouvrant sur le parc. Salon carré et boudoir ornés d'un décor stuqué à sujets mythologiques ou galants de la fin du 18e siècle. Deux larges escaliers de pierre à rampe en fer forgé de style Louis XVI, conduisent aux appartements supérieurs.
