To make a day of it

Château du marquis de Panat stands in L'Isle-Jourdain (Gers), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de Panat stands in the centre of L'Isle-Jourdain, in the Gers department, separated from its park by the Rue de Save. Built in 1880 for the Marquis Samuel de Brunet de Castelpers, this large composite neo-medieval residence combines a keep, a bulb-shaped turret, mullioned windows and gargoyles, drawing inspiration from several buildings in the Gers, including the Château de Caumont and the fortified church of Simorre. The surrounding park became a public garden during the 20th century, while the building itself now houses flats as part of a cooperative housing project.
