What the French Ministry of Culture records
Château édifié de 1525 à 1535, composé d'un corps de bâtiment entre deux ailes, dont celle de droite a été refaite en 1658 à la suite d'un incendie. Quatre tours forment les angles. La porte d'entrée et le pont-levis n'existent plus, mais il subsiste les deux tourelles qui flanquaient cette porte, et contiennent les escaliers à vis. Au-dessus de la porte d'entrée, se trouve une galerie de dégagement pour l'aile. Derrière la porte d'entrée, un grand escalier occupe la largeur du bâtiment, avec voûtes de briques retombant sur des amortissements décorés de sculptures, chapiteaux ioniques ou corinthiens à fût tronqué. A l'intérieur, décor peint, boiseries du 18e. Des écuries complètent le château. Une longue salle voûtée est coupée en son milieu par le passage d'entrée. Cette salle est terminée, à chaque extrémité, par un pavillon rectangulaire. Ces pavillons ont été ornés de faux mâchicoulis et créneaux en 1830.
