Château d'Ailly stands in Bernières-d'Ailly (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Located in Bernières-d'Ailly, in the Calvados department, the château d'Ailly stands on a site first recorded in 1050, when Robert d'Ailly built a manor surrounded by ditches. The present building still bears traces of this medieval past, along with the mark of eighteenth century alterations carried out by Charles d'Aubert d'Ailly. The estate passed through several prominent Norman families, including the Vauquelin des Chênes, who in 1832 unearthed the well known Bronze Age helmets now kept at the Musée de Normandie in Caen.
