What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château édifié entre 1530 et 1540, sans doute par François Fume, maire de Poitiers. L'édifice se compose d'un corps de logis rectangulaire, cantonné de deux tours circulaires sur sa façade postérieure. Deux ailes courtes en retour d'équerre se trouvaient sur la cour, mais ont disparu durant la seconde moitié du 19e siècle. Au rez-de-chaussée, les fenêtres sont ornées de chapiteaux à volutes en corne de bélier, avec l'abaque orné d'un motif végétal ou d'un masque. La base de l'escalier en vis se situait sur l'élévation ouest. A l'intérieur, présence de caves voûtées en plein cintre.
