Usson castle, also known as château des Égreteaux, stands near Pons in the Charente-Maritime region. Its Renaissance facades, built in the mid-16th century for a Protestant lord, had an unusual fate: dismantled stone by stone at the end of the 19th century, they were moved and reassembled on another site, incorporating elements from elsewhere, including a glass roof attributed to the Eiffel workshops. The estate is now explored through a family treasure hunt combining the old architecture with puzzles to solve.
