Le manoir et la chapelle remontent au début du 16e siècle. La chapelle, remaniée au 17e siècle, était le lieu d'une dévotion populaire consacrée à Saint-Ortaire, invoqué pour la santé des enfants. Le manoir, avec sa salle basse double en élévation et la salle haute, permet de comprendre l'organisation d'un logis seigneurial de la fin du Moyen-Age et du début de la Renaissance dans la Manche.
