What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit vers 1530-1535, par Claude Le Roux, conseiller au Parlement de Normandie et seigneur du lieu. C'est un édifice rectangulaire en briques, encadré de tours rondes et pourvu, à l'arrière, d'une haute tour terminée en belvédère abritant un escalier à la " Rihour ". Le logis est situé au centre d'une enceinte ovoïde à mur crénelé, et petites tours rondes pourvues de bouches à feu. Les communs en colombage ont été agrandis vers 1900. De 1897 à 1905, la restauration menée par l'architecte Emile Janet a modifié les façades et la distribution intérieure.
