Standing on the banks of the Béthune river, the château de Mesnières is a Renaissance building begun in the early 16th century and completed in 1546 with a seigneurial chapel. Bought in 1834 by a clergyman who turned it into an orphanage, it still bears the marks of this school history, notably a large chapel built in the 1860s and further buildings added up to the early 20th century. The estate now houses a school, though part of the château and grounds can be visited.
