What the French Ministry of Culture records
Ce manoir a été construit par la famille de Noüe aux 15e et 16e siècles dans une enclave de la forêt de Retz, à proximité de Villers-Cotterêts. A la fin du 18e siècle, le manoir appartient à l'abbaye royale Notre-Dame de Longpont. L'ensemble est vendu comme bien national à la Révolution. Le manoir est composé de deux ailes en retour d'équerre liées par une tourelle avec échauguette sur cul-de-lampe mouluré. Le logis d'habitation, partie la plus ancienne, se prolonge au nord par une tour monumentale en brique et pierre à trois niveaux. L'autre aile présente une élévation orientale très soignée : la façade est divisée en travées soulignées de pilastres plats surmontés de chapiteaux à corbeille nue et d'un entablement. Cette aile a peut-être eu une fonction d'écurie et grenier à foin. Ce manoir a malheureusement été très remanié aux 19e et 20e siècles.
