Château d'Esquelbecq stands in Esquelbecq (Nord), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 17th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
On the main square of Esquelbecq, opposite a church whose origins date back to the 10th century, stands one of the last Flemish-style castles in northern France. Built on a square plan with eight towers topped with stepped gables, it is surrounded by wide moats and a park covering several hectares. Part of the north wing, including marble-decorated salons and a room featuring the four seasons, is open to visitors along with an exhibition on the estate's history, as well as the gardens.

What to know
- Only part of the north wing and the gardens are currently open to visitors, the rest of the building remaining a private property under restoration.
- The castle's keep collapsed in 1984, which is why only a restored section of the estate can be visited today.
- Dogs are allowed on a leash in the park and outdoor areas.
- The grounds around the moat are flat, but visiting the interior involves moving through an old building, making it poorly suited for visitors with reduced mobility.
- As opening hours and prices are not fixed long-term, it is advisable to check this information before visiting.
