The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 15th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le fief relevait de Chinon et de Turpenay. En 1559, les propriétaires font fortifier le logis seigneurial. Le manoir présente deux bâtiments en équerre aux hauts pignons dont le rempant en rondelis était orné de crochets. Une tour d'escalier polygonale se place dans l'angle rentrant. Un bandeau sculpté sépare les étages et se décroche pour surmonter l'emplacement de l'écu et les fenêtres de la tour. Des lucarnes ornées de coquilles éclairent les combles. D'importantes tours percées de meurtrières assuraient la défense. Il en subsiste une rectangulaire accolée au château, dont les mâchicoulis sont intacts. Une tour ronde au nord flanquait l'ancienne porte d'entrée. Une autre au sud a perdu sa hauteur primitive. Petite chapelle du 17e siècle.
