Set on the banks of the Touvre river a few kilometres from Angoulême, the Logis de Fissac displays its 17th century facade over three storeys, with shell-topped dormer windows and an entrance framed by Ionic columns. The building long belonged to the Tizon d'Argence family before passing through several owners into the 19th century. Only the facades and roofs are protected, and the logis is now partly used by a social care institution, which limits any visit to viewing it from the outside.
