Construit au 15e-16e siècle, le château est restauré et doté d’une exploitation viticole moderne, sous le Second Empire. D’importants travaux sont, également, entrepris sur le domaine. Les intérieurs du château sont décorés suivant le goût de l’époque : l’éclectisme. On peut déceler des éléments inspirés de styles anciens mais recomposés, cependant, dans une création originale. Le salon du premier étage et sa cheminée en pierre blanche incrustée de marbre en constituent un parfait exemple.
