The Domaine d'Alty is a former neo-classical manor house inspired by Palladian architecture, built in Gironde along the Garonne river during the second half of the 18th century. It belongs to a wave of estates constructed for the parliamentary nobility and wealthy merchants who prospered from the Bordeaux wine trade. Today the site stands largely in ruin, with remnants of walls overtaken by vegetation behind the two pavilions and gate that once marked the entrance.
