The Wasserburg Stedebach once stood in Stedebach, a part of the municipality of Weimar in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district of Hesse. Raised in the second half of the 15th century by the Teutonic Order, which had held land in the village for generations, it took the place of an earlier, smaller fortified site resembling a motte. The complex consisted of three wings arranged in a U around a courtyard, ringed by a moat so broad that it was described as a pond surrounding the building. The last structure was pulled down in 1857, and the land, now farmed, preserves only fragments of the retaining wall that once lined the moat.
