Waldschlössel stands in Klingenmünster (Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Waldschlössel stands on the Treutelsberg hill above Klingenmünster, in Rhineland-Palatinate. What survives is a ruin uncovered through excavation, yet it counts among the oldest fortified sites in the Palatinate, a genuine motte rather than a mere refuge fort. The original name of the stronghold has been lost, and what visitors see today results from archaeological campaigns carried out since the late nineteenth century. Remains include a residential tower, a working courtyard with ovens and hearths, and traces of an older, larger rampart enclosure.
