Burg Scharfenberg (Pfalz) stands in Leinsweiler (Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Admission is free. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Scharfenberg Castle, popularly known as Münz, stands in ruins on a rocky summit in the Palatinate forest above the town of Annweiler. Built in the twelfth century under King Conrad III, it forms the Trifels Group together with the neighbouring castles of Trifels and Anebos. Its most striking feature is a twenty-metre keep faced with rusticated ashlar stonework from the Hohenstaufen period, alongside remnants of a well tower and the lower enclosure wall. Left in ruins since its destruction during the Peasants' War of 1525, the site underwent extensive conservation work completed in 2024.
